The New York Times is calling Music City a go-to destination for pre-wedding parties, and it's even sparking a new type of business here.
Nearly 14.5 million people visited Nashville last year, and a good number of them were bachelorettes.
”You come here instead of Vegas now, this is the spot, live music, good booze," said Caroline Kuonin, of Philadelphia.
There’s no doubt that Nashville is the city of choice for women across the country and beyond to celebrate an upcoming wedding.
Now that the New York Times has taken notice, it’s official Music City is the number one bachelorette capital on earth.
Nicole Pancotto works for Bach Weekend. It's a full service bachelorette planning company that provides everything from start to finish once ladies arrive into town.
Pancotto said phone calls are coming in globally. People from as far away as Canada, Alaska, and the LA area have make the trek to Nashville to celebrate.
"We get calls from all over the place," Pancotto said. "I just got off the phone with a group from Spain who’s bringing an interpreter to Nashville. We get a lot of Canadians. We love our Canadians. We also get a lot from around the U.S. as well."
Grant Rosenblatt owns Honky Tonk Party Express and has buses that are packed with bachelorettes on any given weekend.
"It’s been crazy,” Rosenblatt said. "Obviously the bachelorette scene has been here for a little while. It’s finally getting the exposure like it should’ve gotten a couple years ago, and Nashville is cashing in on it."
