Try contra dancing this Friday–the energy will be through the roof and it’s FREE!
Beginners’ lesson is at 7:30pm in the Glen Echo Park Spanish Ballroom, followed by the dance from 8pm until 11pm.
For 50 years the folk dance revival made Glen Echo the biggest weekly contra dance in the world. We’re celebrating this Friday with the biggest contra band in the world. Dancers from across the country are coming for this big free event.
