POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — The Point Pleasant Beach Recreation Committee is hosting the third annual “Show Us Your Heart” Bingo Scavenger Hunt event downtown in February.
The event will be held in the shopping district on Feb. 11, with a rain date of Feb. 12. The committee is co-hosting the event with Sweet Revenge Custom Chocolates.
Children must be registered in advance and the event is limited to the first 300 children 12 and younger, who are eligible to receive prizes.
Check in between noon and 12:30 p.m. at the parking lot between The Beanery and Bam Bam Burger at 522 Bay Ave. All registered participants will receive a Valentine’s Day-themed bingo card.
“Then you can stroll or dance around Arnold Avenue and Bay Avenu looking for your bingo shapes in the participating storefront windows,” the committee said.
“Once your card is full, and you yell ‘BINGO’ really loud, bring the cards back to the check-in location and receive your prize and sweet treat provided by Sweet Revenge Custom Chocolates,” the committee said.
Families who shop locally and show their proof of purchase receipts for anything bought from participating businesses during the event can get entry tickets to win prizes. The prize drawing will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the check-in location.
“This is a dog-friendly event, bonus points if your dog’s name is Bingo!” the committee said.
A list of participating stores will be printed on the back of your bingo card.
In addition to the scavenger hunt there will be activities including Valentine’s-themed crafts, face painting, and a DJ in front of Bam Bam Burger on Bay Avenue. Register here. Questions can be emailed to RecreationCommittee@pointbeach.org
